I remember my Senior Prom like it was last year, oh wait, it was!
Finding the right outfit for Prom can seem like a never ending process! But, if you know your body figure and you know what you want, it should be easy, right? Haha... no. Shopping for anything, especially Prom, is darn near hard! It takes patience and determination. Don't ever settle for the 'okay' dress. For me, I took a different route. My Prom outfit was a high-neck nectarine/tangerine halter top from Arden B. and a long silky black skirt from Tadashi--can you say trick-or-treatttt? Well, whatever your Prom outfit be, make sure YOU stand out, because that's what it's all about, right?
To my older readers, do you remember your Prom?

Hello miss Dara :)
ReplyDeleteI agree completly with what you wrote about finding that perfect dress, if only I had your advice when i was in high school. I agree 100% with standing out and dont settle for second best, you need to feel like a princess on the day :D
You look ravishing in orange. It is truly your colour! I remember my prom like it was last year too (it was actually YEARS ago). I begged and whined for my BCBG dress. It was my birthday, I didn't have a date and I needed to look fabulous. It's still something I could probably sport to a formal event even today.
ReplyDeleteYou totally rocked that flower!!
ReplyDeleteyou rock the flower...

ReplyDeleteWe don't have a prom here , only something similar but it isn't that big... :( -Unfortunately!
Proms didn't exist in the UK when I left high school...
ReplyDeleteYou look fab in that colour!

We don't have prom in Singapore either! Unless you count wannabe-grad nites *shudders* My secondary school grad night was horrendously fashion blaaah.
ReplyDeleteBut excuse us because we were 15-year-old fashion idiots who were only familiar with the school uniforms -__-.
I wore vintage to my prom and didn't realise it had stains all over it until I stepped out of the VW 60's campervan I went there in
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous! That color looks great on you.
ReplyDeletei haven't really been to a big prom.. it's not as big in norway as in USA:. you look really cute in the picture!
ReplyDeletethat orange colour looks fab on you!
ReplyDeleteI love that dress you wore for prom... that shade of orange is perfect on you!
ReplyDeleteYour look is brilliant! I LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteI won't even share all my disaster prom details. Let's just say that I was in St.Kitts and my fabulous dress that was being shipped from NYC never made it on time, so I had to find one at the last minute.
You look amazing in that color and the flower is a sweet touch.
ReplyDeleteI do remember my prom. It was the only formal I went to, I wore a black satin slip dress and drove my mom's jeep to the Space Needle where it was held. Pure cheese.
seems like that's ur color
ReplyDeletehave a great day!
You look fabulous in orange!! I remember my prom, I think it's something you never forget. I wore an off white twenties style dress that I had a dressmaker copy from a picture in a book of old Vogue covers, and it had a big shiny gold sash. Sounds rather awful now, but that was back in 1986!
ReplyDeletethanks!
ReplyDeletei love how u looking with that dreess
about the shirt
i made it :)
Now that outfit is GORG!!! Utterly chic!
ReplyDeleteMy prom outfit - ugh - gold/black flowy puffy (it was '88) and just blah. The next year was more me - streamlined, with rhinestones ('89) and I went with a friend not a boyfriend - that was a blast.
