Some Wise Advice

At work today, networking was the subject at hand. We all came to the conclusion that it's not what you know, it's who you know--how sad and true is that? Well, an elder supervisor livened up the conversation when she said, "Yea, I had to tell my children when they got older, "Remember when mommy said that if you work hard you will always come out on top? Well, mommy lied. You're screwed."..."

PAHAHAHAHAHA!

Now I don't think that if you work hard you're completely screwed, but in some industries it's network or die. Looks like I'm going to have to work on my networking skills.

  8. I know it's sad but very true. Chin up I'm learning the same thing. But remember, networking is only making friends or foes. Just basically meeting new people and having them in your corner when you need them.
