As I woke up this morning for my 2nd day of RA training, I expected new things like Molly Ringwald's character in Sixteen Candles. Bigger boobs? Mmm nope, still small. Slimmer body? Nope, still bootylicious. Don't get me wrong, I love my body, but I just expected to wake up, look in the mirror, and "feel" older. I don't. It feels really, really weird. I'm not a "teen" anymore. *shakes head* I'm not a "teen" anymore. Well anyway, my day was full of fun and surprises--like the flower cupcake a good friend from back home had delivered to me on campus! My friends know me too well.

ReplyDeleteturning 20 was a little strange for me, but I think turning 24 this year was harder I really am feeling like i'm turning the corner I'm no longer sort of in that very young teen era. Congrats though, you need to celebrate everyy year your alive, it's a precious gift.

I'm only 16, so I haven't had much of a revelation birthday yet, but I'm sure that 20 is a big step. I mean I barely remember when I was 10 and have learned so much since then, but when you turn 20, it's like a part of your life has ended. The angst-ridden teen years in which your beliefs and ideas change and are shaped are over, and you're ready to start with the rest of your adult life.
