The Revival of The Scrunchie?

As I type, I'm watching the Sex and The City movie--for the 12th time. That's right, I said the 12th time. My addiction to the SATC movie and TV show is beyond my mind. It might be because of my inner yearning for some precious time with my best girlfriends or my genuine love for SATC.

That aside, I was on the train into New York City the other day when I picked my head up from reading the latest Harper's Bazaar and saw something well, bizarre. There it was; SPOTTED: a velvet brass stud embroidered navy scrunchie. I instantly chuckled. The night before, I watched the episode of SATC where Berger and Carrie have an argument involving a scrunchie. At one point, Carrie tells Berger that real New York women don’t wear scrunchies. So while I sat on the snail-like moving train staring at the scrunchie, I began to think: "Is this scrunchie wearing lady in front of me not from New York City (clearly not because I was taking the train INTO the city)?" And then I glared out the window and thought, "Could this be the revival of the scrunchie?" I hope not, but American Apparel does.

What do you think about the scrunchie?
Should it make a comeback or stay in the 90s where it died?

  1. Oh dear.

The scrunchie should most definitely stay in past where it belongs

  5. they make fun bracelets. I can't say they should be the number one thing to wear, but sometimes, you just need one.

  6. I see people still with them. I guess what is nice they aren't too hard on your hair.

  10. If scrunchies make a comeback I'm leaving the country. Obama or no! I mean why wear something so hideous when you could use a simple, barely noticeable hair elastic? or something creative and interesting and lovely??

  11. Ahhh there's no reason why it should exist. There are just so many better hair accessories out there.

  12. Oh, I so remember that episode.

I was just talking to someone about it last week! Unfortunately, that person was not very learned in respect to SATC knowledge. :(

  13. Ugh ugh UGH!!!! I thought they were gross back around the first they existed. They're an evil demon from hell and must be put back where they belong! lol as you can tell, I really don't like them.

  16. man she is hot! what is her nationality? i am so attracted with girls who wore scrunchies because it always brings the real women out of them especially during sex. right now i really don't find women attractive anymore who didn't wore scrunchies because it seems that they would do anyone now in these day.
