Quickie

Sorry I've been M.I.A and not commenting on blogs. I've been really really busy; yesterday I was out of my dorm from 9 AM - 9 PM. I had tons of studying to do and people to meet and an interview to go to and it was just a hectic day. And even now, I should be doing my homework before a club meeting, but I am here, talking to my fellow Istas and Blog readers.

My Hunter boots arrived today. Part of me thinks I should have gotten a more drastic color (they're chocolate brown), but I'll probably just end up buying another pair in either red or yellow--I'm sick, I know. The boots cost $98--$113 plus tax, shipping & handling. My roommate:

Thinks I paid too much money and/or that they are ugly. HAHA! Oh well. It's really nice quality, except it's pretty snug on my man-like calves and I can pretty much only where them with skinny pants, tights, or nothing, woo!

Today I had an epiphany (more like a realization). I dress pretty much the same everyday. I try not to, but when it comes down to it my style is pretty much the same. Boots, jeans/pants, tank, shirt, jacket, or dress & tights. It's hard to mix-it up in Winter. So to the Weather Gods, make Spring come, NOW!

What do you think of my new boots? Keep or exchange?
Do you think you dress the same everyday?

  1. I like the boots, so I say keep 'em. :D As far as my personal style yeah I tend to get a tad complacent in winter... but that changes as soon as it starts getting warmer, yay.

P.S. I agree spring needs to be here Now. It was actually one of my topics in my last post on my page ...lol.

  2. Those boots are rocking!! Don't exchange 'em..

I think my personal style changes from time to time..but not too extreme..I was tomboyish and didn't care at all about fashion and trends..but that's history now~ Overall, I like to keep things simple.

P.S. That is super cute umbrella!!

  8. I say keep 'em especially in the classic brown color. Now, though pricey, the addition of a red or yellow pair would be cool too :)

The current wintry days (lots of ice and snow) are so uninspiring for putting looks together. I am longing for spring!

  9. I was thinking about dressing the same way the other day, too.
I mean, i´m very excentric in comparison to other people but isn´t it a dress, tights and boot/booties all over?

well, no doubt though, the dresses are fantastic!

  10. oh, your boots are fabulous (and so not ugly)! they are expensive (especially for a college student's budget), but something you will wear for many rainy seasons to come. the brown is nice, but i agree that red or yellow would be a lot of fun too.

  17. I never regret buying anything in a bright colour. Maybe that's just me and maybe I'm just naturally drawn to anything obnoxiously bright. . . but I think red boots go with pretty much anything. .. maybe not orange, but whatever. We're in a time where we can get away with close to anything as far as fashion goes. The rules are: no rules! By the way, dress is coming along. . . will post pictures once I get it to a good place.

  21. I say keep them! You'll probably wear them a lot. I think a bright color would be fun, but you probably wouldn't wear it as much.

  22. the boots sound cute, you should keep them. since they're not in a bright color, they'll match with more.
