J'adore Dior? NO. J'adore Giambattista Valli!

Fall 2008

I owe my love for high Fashion to many designers, but ESPECIALLY Giambattista Valli. 4 years ago, I was a Freshman in high school and itching to get in on the Fashion scene. I convinced myself I would go to school for it and in the mean time I would just spend endless hours on style.com (against my parents wishes). Well, 4 years ago, I stumbled upon HIM--Giambattista Valli. I felt like I found my high Fashion voice. I love Europeans and I felt like he truly embodied what is so chic about the Europeans. The Europeans are nothing but class and sass, and Giambattista Valli knows how to convey that.

Fabsugar just posted his collection from Paris Fashion Week, and I am in heaven! It's nothing but volume, rouge, and much much more! Check his collection out to see the much much more.

On another note, I have decided to wear nothing but heels come this Spring. Well, the occasional flat, but I am going to challenge myself to wear nothing but heels. I wonder if that is possible to do, as a College student.

What's going to be your MUST wear item come this Spring?

Confused

Courtesy of Fabsugar

I just watched the semi-finale of Project Runway, and anyone else confused?

The morning of February 8, 2008, all 5 finalists showed at the tents in Bryant Park. In tonight's episode, Sweet Pea was eliminated, and Chris and Rami have to showcase their three best designs in order to show at the tents. But, how could that be? Since, all 5 of them showed during NY Fashion Week. My fellow -Istas, I am confused. Here in my dorm room, I sat, annoying my roommate by screaming, "But, you're all going to Fashion Week!" throughout the episode. I'm dumbfound and kind of upset.

Can someone with higher knowledge please clarify this for me?

Zaijian

Zaijian means See you later or Goodbye in Mandarin. No, I'm not leaving.

Thanks Fabsugar!

A few things I have realized in the past week:

1. I was made to be a part of the industry of Fashion. Anyone can sneak into a show, well may be not anyone, but the fact that pathways opened for me to be able to, truly made me realize that I am going to be and need to become important enough one day to receive numerous invites to the shows.

2. Blogging takes up too much of my time; with reading over 20 blogs a day and trying to comment on all of them (not because I want them to comment on my posts, but simply because I enjoy commenting), a good 2 hours of my day is lost. 2 hours that could be devoted to my education (I go to a very expensive school and I need to keep up my GPA).

3. I love this world of Fashion Bloggers. It is so welcoming and everyone is so endearing and honest. I feel like I have made some nice friendships that may be one day we could all meet and have a Fashion Bloggers Convention!--wouldn't that be cool??

4. I dream to inspire others as much as Atoosa Rubenstein has inspired me. I love to be successful and want other to be successful as well!

5. I LOVE going to school so close to New York City!

That being said, I am only going to be blogging once a week or more--if I have time.

Peace out Fashion Junkies!
