A winner has been drawn for the Chickdowntown contest!!!

Here's how it happened: 28 people entered. I placed each name on a list in the order they commented on the post. I then generated a random number using the True Random Number Service, clicked generate 3 times for good luck and came up with the number 9. As luck would have it, the person whose name was placed in the number 9 slot is a friend and a former fellow Fashion Intern. What are the odds?! What's funny about this whole thing is that she actually threatened me via Facebook to rig the contest and make sure she won. I guess the fashion gods knew that the dress was hers! Congrats Lora!!

On another note, I'm going missing for the next couple of days. I'm heading back to school to take care of a couple of things and fulfill one of the goals on my long list of college must-dos. Like, start a fashion club, check; be an editor at my school's newspaper, check; have more than two internships by the time I graduate, double check. But back to my main point, my school will be paying me and others $10 an hour to participate in a one-day photo shoot. Sure I'm super excited to finally be a "Hofstra Face," but what I'm more excited about is the money I'll be making. Cha-ching! Hopefully they'll keep me around for the whole day, so I make more than just... $10. Haha!

Chocolate Sorrows!

Sorry I've been missing in action for the past couple of days. My life outside web land has been a little crazy. From trying to find a part-time job, to making sure my school fees are paid for, I've had my hands full. Needless to say, I'll be revealing the winner of the fabulous BB Dakota dress on Monday. Keep your eyes peeled lovelies! Also, I may have turned a new leaf, or well, an old one. Before cupcakes, I was all about brownies! I discovered these creations by Fairytale Brownies on Wednesday. A company that owns brownies.com is more than A-Okay in my book. I can't wait to try one of their fudge-filled confections!

Forever 21 for Your Father

With about two weeks left until Father's Day, I still haven't thought about what I should get my Father. Or well I mean, I haven't thought about what I should tell my older brother to buy him that's worthy of slabbing my name on the card and calling it a day. I'm short on cash--as I have been for the past couple of months--and I'm thinking about being a little more creative this year. But how? And with what? May be I'll get him a gift card to Forever 21? Ha. Well, I was baffled when I went on the Forever 21 Web site and saw this:

After I clicked the image, it all made sense and the concept of the contest is pretty cool. All you have to do is send in a photo of your daddy warbucks being the stylish pop he is and you could win a $200 gift card! My dada's pretty stylish, so may be I'll find some photos of him and win me some moolah to go shopping with for the fall season.
