J'adore Jeffrey Campbell

I am in love. I am in love with Jeffrey Campbell... shoes. Don't get me wrong. I am still heavily addicted to ALDO Shoes--Footwear I can actually afford. I just desperately need the 99 shoes:

And with my 21st birthday in 15 days, I think someone out there should get me a pair of these. My shoe size is 10--you know what they say about people with big feet!... What DO they say? Anyway, Jeffrey Campbell released their Spring/Summer 2010 lookbook. Take a looksie below. The site asks, "CAN YOU HANDLE THIS?" No. I don't think I can. I want. I want. I want! But, I can't... I can't... afford. Yet.

Spring Fever

Dear Mother Nature,

'Tis the Spring season, so why is it still a little nippy outside?

Love,
Secretista

I'm over wearing tights with my skirts and dresses and ready to put on my wind-blowing, girly-looking, zestful sun dresses. What I love about Spring is the fact I get to wear all the flower print and blindingly bright colors that I want.

To hold my Spring fashion needs over until the weather gets warmer, I'll be wearing what I call "transitional pieces." You know, things like light jackets and sweaters. I think that like a little black dress, "transitional pieces" are a must in a gal's closet. I'm completely in love with this White, pink and green flower embroidered cardigan from Fred Flare. If only I had extra cash to spend...

Take Me Away

My Summer vacation has begun and so far I've spent the first three days siting in bed, blowing my nose, and watching non-stop coverage of the Fall 2008 Collections on UltraHD. I've got a massive headache, so looking at my laptop screen is very hard for me. I've yet to unpack all my clothing and will force myself to do that today--hopefully the Motrin will kick in.

I'll be visiting my high school on Wednesday with a friend and I'm just curious as to what I should wear. Eh, it's supposed to rain so I'll just revolve an outfit around my boots.

Anyhow, as designers are coming out with their Resort/Cruise collections, I can't help but anticipate my lover's, Giambattista Valli, Resort/Cruise collection. For those who aren't exactly sure what these collections are, I'll explain (I once didn't understand). Resort/Cruise collections were created so the wealthy that go away to lovely resorts in the Winter had an assortment of clothing to pick from. All in all, it's Summer clothes that you can buy in Winter.

Elegance has been the renowned theme in all of the seasonal collections. It's like designers are sending us ladies a hidden message: be more elegant! And even in all his craziness, Galliano gives us a hint of elegance. :) All this sophistication has got me craving a luxurious getaway with my gal pals; sipping fruity drinks and going gaga over some hotty on the beach. Well, a girl can dream, right?

Greetings from the Garden State

Hello Future Trendsetters,

Ah. It feels good to be home in the state of New Jersey where we don't pump our own gas and there's no taxing on practically everything (I think). Seriously, shopping in New York may be fun, but it makes me sad when I look at the receipt and see how much I spent. Going to school in New York has made me realize how much I truly love being a chick from Jersey.

Christmas is almost here, and I am sort of not in the spirit just yet. I think I need a little bit of Church and my dad continuously playing Mariah Carey's Christmas CD, which by the way is absolutely amazing; I'm not sure if it's because her voice is incredible or how joyous the whole CD is. Either way, one should go out and buy it (I am an advocate for buying CDs!).

Anyway, so I could tell you all what I want for Christmas, but I am not quite sure, but I do know that I need a new Winter coat (This would be the part where I show you all the different styles of coats that are in for this season and the ones that I want, but I'm not going to because that'll be my secret and I will show you all next week which one I got!).

On the other hand, I seriously want a leather coat. I know what you are thinking; why the heck does she want a leather coat? Well my little trendsetters, I assure you leather coats that are cropped or in bomber style are going to be the new hit this winter (I would ask for a leather coat for Christmas, but they are far too expensive!). Seriously, let's picture this. You're going out with your girls dancing and you're in this cropped or bomber leather coat and you've got your 3"heels on looking effortlessly stylish and well the coat makes you look badass. It says I am fabulous, classy and sexy. I prefer this one from Express:

So tell me, do you think it is worth the asking price of almost $200? I do.

Well, as always...

Stay Lovably Fashionable,
Secretista
